Spinal Decompression NYC for Herniated discs

Case Study reveals an increase in Disc Height and a decrease in size of Disc Herniation after treatment with the DRX9000
New York, NYC The DRX9000 True Non-surgical Spinal Decompression System™ was developed to provide a non-invasive option for discogenic low back pain. Researchers of a case report published in Volume 2 Issue 1 of the European Musculoskeletal Review state, “Evidence-based data that show the promising effects of DRX9000 on the safe and effective treatment of LBP [low back pain] continue to accumulate.” The report titled, “Management of Low-Back Pain with a Non-surgical Decompression System (DRX9000™) – Case Report” reveals the pre- and post-treatment MRI findings of a 69-year old male with low back pain. Prior to treatment with the DRX9000, the patient reported experiencing low back pain radiating into both legs. When asked to describe his pain intensity on a scale of 0-10, the patient rated his pain intensity at 10. The patient underwent 22 treatments over a seven-week period. Utilizing the same pain intensity scale the patient reported a pain level of 1 post-treatment. Four months after the initial visit a follow up MRI revealed decreased herniation size and increased disc height at multiple lumbar levels. The authors conclude, “This case report further builds on previous findings that have demonstrated improvements in disc morphology after treatment with the DRX9000.”
The Spinal Decompression protocol has helped the lives of many patients suffering with a herniated disc.
I recently had a patient that had a epidural injections that provided no relief and is at her wits end.
After reviewing her MRI I determined that she is a candidate for spinal decompression. This patients will benefit because she has bilateral (both sides) neural-foraminal stenosis (the area that the spinal nerve exits is smaller that it should be)
I will update her progress.

As Spinal Decompression gains in recognition as the preferred treatment for patients suffering with Chronic low back pain and or a herniated disc I would like to offer my opinion for both the potential patient and or Doctor conisdering getting into this fantastic treatment.
The most asked question is what table is the best?
I get this emailed to me every day about 10 times from both patients and Chiropractors interested in getting into the game.

I only use the best system which I believe is the DRX 9000- this is the system that is currently being studied by John Hopkins,University of California at San Francisco, Mayo Clinic,Stanford University School of Medicine
There are other systems on the market but I steer patients and Chiropractors away from the low-end tables like the DTS made by Chattanoga, these are nothing more than a glorified traction table. I would be embaressed to charge someone a full case fee ($5,800) for treatment on a DTS table or a triton table, and if I was a patient I would not pay more that $75 a visit.
It really depends on where your practice is the type of practice you want have.
I practice in Manhattan, SOHO to be exact. I offer top-notch service and I only work with the top of the line equipment like the DRX 9000 and the SpineForce made by LPG.
If you are a patient and have a choice I would chose the bettter table, why settle for anything but the best?

I also have used the Extentrac elite and the Antalgic-trac I prefer to use the Cox Flexion distraction decompression table and manually decompress the patient then put them on the linear Spinal decompression table.
I recently expanded my practice, I now have 4,000 sq feet in Manhattan dedicated to Non-surgical spinal decompression and rehab for the disc herniation patient.

Spinal Decompression Conditions

The most common spinal condition treated with decompression treatment is a herniated disc. Spinal compression can cause disc herniations to expand, putting pressure on surrounding spinal nerve roots. Decompression treatment takes the pressure off these damaged discs so that the disc bulge will shrink back closer to its original size.

Degenerative disc disease is also a common condition treated with decompression therapy. Loss of disc height can be exacerbated by spinal compression, causing the vertebral bodies to move closer together. This can cause nerve compression and other forms of common back pain. Decompression eliminates the overwhelming pressure on degenerated discs reducing or eliminating painful symptoms.

Facet joint syndrome is yet another condition treated with spinal decompression. Of all the conditions, this one shows the least promising results for permanent pain relief. Conceptually, facet syndrome causes pain due to arthritic changes in the vertebral bones. Decompression helps to create more space between the vertebrae, hopefully reducing painful symptoms.
Spinal Decompression Modalities
Forget about old fashioned attempts at decompression therapy. Pulley and weight traction systems have never been proven to do anything, except injure patients in rare circumstances. Inversion therapy might create decompression of the spinal column, but is best left for fitness usage.
Cox Technic is a time tested form of decompression used primarily by chiropractors.

The modern versions of decompression therapy are Vax-D and the wonderful DRX9000. Another addition to the decompression industry is the Accu-Spina system. Check out these state of the art machines if you think that decompression therapy might be right for your form of back pain.
I prefer the DRX 9000 because it is the most comfortable to the patient and it allows a targeted decompression.
